How much battery storage do I need?We recommend starting with 12kWh storage capacity with a 3kw inverter. As the batteries are modular lithium units you can add more if you want at a later date. Our systems range in capacity from 2.4kWh to 47.5kWh.

How long will it take from enquiry to installation completion?We aim to achieve a turn around of 30 days. Depending on what brand of system you choose, lead times may vary.

Can I have a battery system without Solar PV?You can take advantage of your Octopus Go or Economy 7 tariff with the battery system, charging it at night when the unit rate is cheaper, and using it during the day when the rate is higher.

What is the pay back period?Octopus Go: You can benefit from Grid charging during the night-time if you are on Octopus Go. If you are on the four-hour Octopus Go tariff, then you will need a rechargeable storage capacity of 12 kWh to achieve annual electricity savings of £1401. If you are on the six-hour Octopus Go tariff you can save £2102 per year, and you will need rechargeable storage capacity of 18kWh. Economy 7: You can benefit from Grid charging during the night-time if you are on Economy 7. If you are on the 7-hour Economy 7 tariff then you will need a rechargeable storage capacity of 21kWh to achieve annual electricity savings of £2452.

How do I view the live online monitoring of my system?This will be set up for you as part of the installation process. You will be provided with login credentials and app information, as well as a tutorial to navigate the monitoring platform, including setting forced battery charge settings during low cost hours.

How much will I save per day and how much will the system cost?For Octopus Go customers utilosing cheaper night rates, our 14.6kWh storage system will save £3.50 per day at today's prices, which is £1275 a year, payback about 6 years. A typical system with 14.6kWh can save owners £3.50 per day at today prices, £1100 a year, with a payback of about 6 years.

Will my power stay on during a power cut?We can set up EPS power supply from your battery system to provide power during a power cut, to either a double socket, or to critical circuits in the house. Please get in touch to explain your requirements and we can quote accordingly.
